Sea Salt and Vitamins

May 7th, 2010

This was sent to us by a member – you also can send us some interesting blog entries, please.

The first time I touched an older man (heck any man), I was in my early 20s.  I had a car, and used to drive alone to Riis Park beach near the Rockaways in NY.  At the time, there was a section of beach for nudists, and most of the people there were nude men.

For me the attraction was older guys. I was too embarrassed of my body to go nude myself, but I would sit on my towel near a group of older men and spend the day looking and lusting.  One time, I was sitting near an older gent who would get up every so often and to into the water for a short swim.  When he returned to his blanket, he would towel himself dry, and the lay down on his blanket, flipping his dick up under himself as he lay on his belly.  I was infatuated and watched as he did this several times, going into the water for a swim, then coming back to his blanket, drying and laying down.

One time, however, he spent more time in the water than before… and i noticed he was froliking near another man.  when he got out of the surf, i could see his dick was stiff and it was dripping of cum. I was so pissed at myself for not having approached the man earlier, as I wanted to invite him to my car to play about a little.  Well, I was now determined, so when he got back to his blanket i struck up a conversation with him… asking him about his exploits in the surf.  He said it was the first time that had happened to him at the beach, being masturbated by another man in waist deep water.  I asked if he would go with me to my car for some more extra – curricula activities, but he rejected my offer, say he wasn’t ready to leave.  I was not to be denied, so i waited all afternoon, and when he got up to leave for the day, I also packed up and walked along side him towards the boardwalk and again asked if he wanted to go to my car.  He agreed.

When we got to my car, we slipped our swimsuits off and i touched his cock and he touched mine.  I felt his soft cock and large balls, something i had only dreamed of.  Then i asked him if i could touch him with my mouth.  He leaned back and I began sucking his cock. God, it tasted (to me) of cum.. i sucked him, his cock got somewhat hard, but not very…. I fondled his balls as I sucked him.. trying to get him to cum, but was not able to…. after a while, he pushed my head back, and began sucking my cock.  I held back as best I could but spurt into his mouth after a short while.  As he straighted himself up, he swallowed my cum and said  “These were my vitamins for the day”..

We pulled our swimsuits up and i drove him to his bus-stop.  Let him out, never knowing his name.

Many Straight Men Have Gay Sex

February 10th, 2009

Nearly 10% of Self-Proclaimed ‘Straight’ Men Only Have Sex With Men

Nearly one in 10 men who say they’re straight have sex only with other men, a New York City survey finds. And 70% of those straight-identified men having sex with men are married. In fact, 10% of all married men in this survey report same-sex behavior during the past year.
This means safe-sex messages aimed at straight and gay men are likely missing this important subgroup, suggest Preeti Pathela, DrPH, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and colleagues.
“To reduce the burden of sexually transmitted diseases and HIV infection among men who have sex with men, it is of utmost importance for [health care] providers to take a sexual history that ascertains the sex of a partner,” Pathela and colleagues report. “Asking about a patient’s sexual identity will not adequately assess his risk.”
Straight Men Who Have Sex With Men
In 2003, Pathela’s team performed telephone interviews with nearly 4,200 New York City men. They conducted the interviews in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian; a translation service helped with interviews in Greek, Korean, Yiddish, Polish, and Haitian Creole.
In nearly every study of sexual behavior, the percentage of men who report sex with men is higher than the percentage of men who report being gay.
So Pathela and colleagues first asked the men if they were bisexual, gay, or straight. Then they asked about specific sexual behaviors.
Some of the findings:
• Straight-identified men who have sex with men report fewer sex partners than gay men.
• Straight-identified men who have sex with men report fewer STDs in the past year than gay men.
• Straight-identified men who have sex with men are less likely than gay men to report using a condom during their last sexual encounter.
• Straight-identified men who have sex with men are more likely to be foreign born than gay men.
Also, a man who says he is straight but is having sex with other men is more likely to be married than a straight man who has sex with women, according to the survey. Only 54% of the men who say they’re straight and have sex with women are married, compared with the 70% marriage rate among the men who say they’re straight but have sex with men.
Pathela and colleagues note that because they report fewer STDs and fewer sex partners than gay men, straight-identified men who have sex with men may think they are at lower risk of HIV and STDs. This isn’t necessarily so.
The men with whom these straight-identified men have sex may themselves have multiple sex partners and elevated STD and HIV risk. The low rate of condom use makes the straight-identified men vulnerable.
“Prevention messages should focus on the activities that pose risk — for example, unprotected receptive anal sex — and should not be framed to appeal solely to gay-identified men,” Pathela and colleagues suggest.

Anal sex in religion

January 3rd, 2007

In Islam, Christianity, and Judaism
Anal sex is officially prohibited by most Islamic sects. There are parts of the Qu’ran which talk about smiting on Sodom and Gomorrah, and this is usually considered to be banning anal sex, and so there are hadith and Islamic laws which prohibit it. Although most Christian denominations disapprove of anal sex, some believe it to be an acceptable part of human sexuality. Virtually all Christians confirm the importance of accepting and welcoming homosexuals into their communities and protecting their civil rights. Orthodox Judaism teaches that homosexual anal sex is a sin, and toevah, based on the Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13. However Judaism permits heterosexual anal sex, and the conservative, reform and reconstructionist branches of Judaism are more accepting of homosexuality.

Sex and Seniors

Sex In The Elderly

Introduction

The best-loved nonagenarian George Burns quipped that it’s “like shooting pool with a rope”. Jokes abound about the rapaciousness of senior females in quest of a male functional enough to engage in it. And my teenage son wrinkles up his nose and says “Eewww!” when he hears about it. What is it? It’s sex in the elderly, of course.

But what about sex in the elderly? Media coverage of aging baby-boomers and their older cousins would have us believe that seniors are a homogeneous group jumping into bed and “hooking up” with great regularity. Sex is the newest Fountain of Youth. In fact, the level of sexual interest and activity among people over the age of 65 is as diverse as the individuals who make up that population.

The statistics
A recent survey of married men and women showed that 87% of married men and 89% of married women in the 60-64 age range are sexually active. Those numbers drop with advancing years, but 29% of men and 25% of women over the age of 80 are still sexually active.

So clearly, the older years can be a time of relief that children are no longer lurking in nearby bedrooms, and there is no longer a need to jump up early in the morning for work. For some, older age is a time of freedom to explore sexual expression in ways never before realized. A time to cast away the “shoulds” of earlier years, the societal expectations. For others, they are more than happy to forget about sexual performance, and to seek other forms of companionship and interpersonal sharing.

Sexual expression means many things
One of the most significant losses with advancing age is the loss of intimacy. Many seniors have no opportunity for physical contact, affectionate dialogue, snuggling, or shared secrets. The actual act of intercourse is only one possible form of sexual expression. The continuing development of your sexual identity and the evolution of your own form of sexual expression with advancing years represents, in many ways, the most basic expression of your self.

Sex is good for you!
One fascinating recent study showed that men who have more than two orgasms per week have lower mortality statistics. But these numbers only demonstrate a correlation between sexual activity and longevity, they do not prove that sex prolongs life. What is probably true is that people who are well, and vigorous enough to engage in sexual activity are also healthier in general. But I believe that sexual activity, in its many forms, can be physically, intellectually, and even spiritually fulfilling. It is often a good form of exercise, and it can stimulate the brain and promote good mental function. For some, sexual expression represents the most elemental manifestation of true self.

Finding Your Sexual Expression

What is most important is to find the type of sexual expression that suits you best.

Self-stimulation
Some people, either by choice or by necessity, find much gratification in sexual self-stimulation. There may be some resistance to this form of self-exploration by people who were raised with the idea that self-stimulation is “dirty” or perverted. But many who have overcome this resistance have been exhilarated by a whole new experience.

Sharing sexual experience in new ways
Others explore sexual sharing in new ways with a longtime partner, or with a new partner. And still others, especially elderly women, have discovered new intimacies with same-sex partners, even after spending most of their adult lives in heterosexual relationships. Again, the key to satisfaction and fulfillment with sexual experience in later life is individual choice.

Changes in the Body

There are many changes that happen in our bodies as we age, and some of these changes can modify sexual experience in later years. Both women and men experience slower arousal responses. This can lead to anxiety in people who do not understand that this change is normal.

Women’s changing bodies
Women’s bodies change is some of the following ways:

Sexual Activity

Seniors and Aging – Sexual Activity

The Issue
Sexual activity is a natural and important part of a healthy lifestyle, no matter what your age. Although the amount of sexual activity generally declines with age, sexual interest and ability can remain fairly constant.
Background
While the need for and interest in sex varies widely in people, most people experience sexual desire throughout life.

An extensive Canadian survey on sexuality, showed that a large majority of people at age 65 said that sex was important. While one quarter of respondents reported that they had not been sexually active the year before the survey, a majority of those between 65 and 74 considered themselves sexually active.

Maintaining a level of sexual activity makes the biological changes associated with aging less pronounced, with less impact on overall sexuality. Many older couples say that they enjoy sex more now than when they were younger. They have more privacy, life has fewer stresses and for heterosexual couples, there are no longer fears of unwanted pregnancies.

Aging brings about a number of physical and psychological changes that can have an impact on sexual performance and pleasure. An important predictor of how active a sex life people will have in later years is their overall physical health.

The Benefits of Maintaining Sexual Activity
There are many benefits in maintaining a healthy sexual activity (sex) level in later years. Some benefits include:
Sex burns fat and causes the brain to release endorphins, natural chemicals that act as painkillers and reduce anxiety.
In men, sex stimulates the release of growth hormones and testosterone, which strengthen bones and muscles.
Sex also seems to prompt the release of substances that bolster the immune system.
Some studies suggest that sex about three times a week can slow aging and prevent wrinkles around the eyes.
The physical exertion associated with sex is about the same as walking up two flights of stairs. If your heart is up to that much exercise, it’s probably up to sex.
Continuing to have sex will preserve your sexual vigour beyond middle age. Sexually active people have higher levels of naturally produced sex hormones.

Challenges of Sex and Aging
As they age, people generally experience changes in sexual desire and response to sexual stimulation. Understanding what causes some of these normal changes may help you to enhance or maintain your sex life. Even with a willing and able partner, you may find that:

It takes longer to become aroused.
You don’t have as much stamina as you used to.
You need more time to reach the same level of satisfaction that you once enjoyed.

For women, vaginal discomfort, dryness or pain during intercourse may occur, due to decreased lubrication, the result of hormonal changes related to menopause. Treatments and ways to adapt are available. Sensitivity to breast stimulation may also occur.

Men may notice that achieving an erection may take longer and that it may not be as large or firm as before. Orgasms may be less intense than in their youth. These changes are normal and a result of a decrease in hormones. Again, treatment and ways to adapt are available.

While the normal changes of aging can affect sexual response and desire, other factors can also increase the challenge. They include:
smoking
excess alcohol (more than two drinks a day)
obesity
lack of self-confidence
depression
performance anxiety

A lack of sexual desire beyond the normal changes of aging can sometimes be related to an underlying health problem.

Diabetes, high blood pressure and prostate problems can affect sexual desire and performance.
Heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, incontinence and emphysema can also affect physical ability and enjoyment of sexual activity.
Prescription drugs to treat conditions such as depression and high blood pressure can suppress desire and performance.

Health Risks of Sexual Activity
While there are many benefits to sexual activity, it is important to remember that sexually transmitted infections (STIs), for example, chlamydia, ghonorrhea, HIV and genital herpes do not respect age. Seniors who have lost a partner, perhaps after many years together, become vulnerable to STIs when they seek new companionship.

STIs are on the rise in Canada, a trend that is mirrored worldwide. Having an STI significantly increases your risk of acquiring and transmitting the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the virus that leads to Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Many STIs do not cause symptoms, which can result in unknowingly transmitting or acquiring an infection.

If you are in a new relationship, discuss your partner’s past history and ensure that you are both STI free. Consult your doctor regarding testing if necessary.

For men, some medications used for erectile dysfunction may pose a risk if they have angina or other coronary artery disease, and should not be used. Talk to your health care provider before taking any new medication.

Maximizing Your Sexual Experience
Some steps that can help you enjoy a healthy sex life.

Knowledge is your best ally. Talk to your partner openly about your sexual expectations and changing abilities. Discover new ways to be physically intimate.
Even if sexual intercourse is not possible or you are no longer in a sexual relationship, touching, hugging and hand-holding provide much needed human contact and emotional intimacy. A counsellor may be able to provide advice on restoring intimacy to your relationship.
Eat healthy food and enjoy regular physical activity as outlined in Canada’s Physical Activity Guide to Healthy Active Living for Older Adults (see the Need More Info? section).
Achieve and maintain a healthy weight.
Stop smoking and limit your alcohol intake.
If depression or anxiety are affecting your sex life, talk to your health care provider
Always use a condom when having sex with a new partner and use condoms until you are sure you are both STI free.
If you are a woman who suffers from vaginal discomfort, talk to your health care provider. Water-based lubricants can help with vaginal dryness. Taking the time to become properly stimulated and trying new things with your partner may also help.
If you suffer from erectile dysfunction, talk to your health care provider about possible treatments. Remember that such products are not an aphrodisiac – arousal time and a willing partner are still needed.
