Many and Rob, thank you very much for this wonderful information about Camp David. Just visited a friend of long standing who thinks it is a fantastic place and tries to limit his visits to monthly...a garden of delights with something for everyone, though i understand the 'glory hole" and "slings" as not as popular as other places...perhaps with so much to enjoy fully displayed those two places are just to much trouble.
Thanks again, and we just might get there in October....
Love and hugs, and thank you again for your site....

Hello Rob and Manfred
I am Willy from Belgium. About your story, I find we are two peas in one pod. This year, I went to Florida for the second time, to visit some friends I hosted last summer, and also some friends I was writing to, saying I wanted to visit them.
In Melbourne FL, I met a very sweet and lovable man, and we fall desperate in love with each other. Just like you wrote in your letter: love at first sight was an understatement.
I had to leave him to go on the all gay cruise Feb 21 till 28, and then had to leave for Belgium.
I am trying to figure out how I can stay with him, if it is possible to relocate to the US, how long I can stay in the US, how I can get a visum, how long I have to stay in Belgium before I can go back to Florida ... A lot of questions. I have some answers from a friend in Germany. I can stay 90 days without visum. If I want to stay longer than 90 days, I need a visum. Then I can stay 6 months. But how long do I have to stay in Belgium before returning to the US. Can I go for more than 6 months in one year?
Manfred must know the answers, or I have to make an appointment with the American Ambassy in Belgium?
Eager for your answer

This is an extremely appropriate blog and one that everyone should read. These scammers are becoming even more sophisticated and targeting gay and bi men because they know there is alot of money to be had. They "groom" you until they feel that they have infiltrated your feelings and are hooked and then they work the scam and before you know it you are sucked in and facing possible financial ruin. They usually try and find men who are lonely, vulnerable etc. They are the easiest to groom.

I speak first hand about this because I am just such a victim. In January 2007 I broke my leg and required surgery and had a foot to upper leg cast on for 6 months and couldn't put weight on it and as a result I was totally depressed and the west coast weather didn't help. The long and the short is that it was a Nigerian scam and I was financially ruined by and had to move to much smaller apt as I couldn't the one I was in etc. For supposedly educated, I sure felt inadequate and a failure.

So please be extremely carefully when someone says that they love you and you haven't let your intuition kick in- better to say not interested than pursue it.

I'm so pleased to see this site. I wish all of us well and plan to both enjoy other folk thru the site, and to contribute whatever I can that you might find of interest. I'll personally focus on two topics... health of senior gays; and retirement living. I'm especially interested in non-traditional medicine to help grow old as slowly as possible.
A group of us gay geezers in Austin, Texas have just begun the Lambda Retirement Community (see my web site) and I look forward to sharing this concept if the moderator concurs and you are interested. Hugs all!
